SG (short for Sanspareils Greenlands) is a worldwide known cricket equipment maker in India. The balls made by SG are used in the Test match cricket and the Ranji Trophy.
For most international cricket brands, SG has been manufacturing and exporting the bats made in their Meerut facility. These bats are also exported to the United Kingdom and Australia. Endorsed by luminaries such as Mohammad Azharuddin, Rahul Dravid and Sunil Gavaskar, SG is the global market leader in cricket equipment. Virender Sehwag became their brand ambassador in 2008.
Since 1994, SG balls have been used in the Test Matches that have been played in India. All the SG balls used in test matches are handmade. SG bats are being used by many Indian cricket players in T 20 matches.
